Get ready for heaps of fun!

  • Music and dance performances
  • Delicious food
  • Games and rides
  • Huge raffle prizes

Admission to the carnival is free! Food and some games and activities are paid and can be purchased directly at the vendor and activity stalls. Certain activities and food items can also be ordered in advance through Trybooking. A link will be provided when available.

We need your support to make the day a success!

We cannot put on The Great Fete without you, our school community! Get ready to lend a helping hand in one (or more) of the following ways:

Sign up for a one-hour shift at an activity station or food stall (or two!)

Every year group from Kindergarten to Year 12 is in charge of an activity station or food stall. The Great Fete Year Group Coordinators will communicate details via WhatsApp beginning 12 April. If you are not in the chat, please email pandf@tigs.com.au so you don’t miss out on this info.

Have a knack for art or makeup? We’re currently on the lookout for face painters, both experienced and those eager to learn! Don’t worry, we’ll provide all the materials and training videos you need. Let us know if you’re interested via this form.

Sponsor a raffle prize

Are you a business owner or know a local business that would like to sponsor a raffle prize? We display business logos at the Fete for prizes valued at $250 or more, subject to printing deadlines and approval in line with TIGS’ Fete policy. Get in touch with Sarah Hampton by emailing fete@tigs.com.au

Make a Gift Basket

Gift baskets are important fundraisers for the school. Pick any theme: gardening, stationery, baby, baking, sewing, kids, craft, car, cleaning, cooking, coffee/tea and more! Please deliver assembled baskets to The Piper Centre or the Junior School Office by Friday 10 May

More information about putting together gift baskets will soon be available on The Great Fete website.

Drop off donations

Clean out your wardrobes and garages and donate your unneeded goods to be sold at our rummage fundraiser stalls (run this year by Year 3 families). You can donate any of these items in new or good-quality second-hand condition: toys and games, books and records, household items and homewares, fashion accessories, and school uniforms. Please note that electrical and outdoor items are not saleable.

Drop off donations on weekdays from 6.30am to 4.00pm. School uniforms and gift baskets to The Piper Centre and Junior School Office. All other donations to the blue shipping container in the Powell Street Car Park (closed during school holidays).

Bake a Cake or Cupcakes

Baked goods will be needed for the Cakes and Cupcakes stall (run this year by Year 1 families). Get in touch with fete@tigs.com.au for details if you would like to contribute your skills.

Shopping, Activity and Food Stalls

Year groups from Kindergarten to Year 12 are leading these fun activities and food stalls.

The Great Fete Year Group Coordinators will communicate details about volunteer schedules and timely messages via WhatsApp beginning 12 April. If you are not in the chat, please email pandf@tigs.com.au so you don’t miss out on this info.

Student Performance Schedule

Cheer on performers from a range of local dance and physie groups throughout the Fete. TIGS student orchestras, choirs and ensembles will showcase their talents starting from 11.00am. This includes all Junior School students, invited to perform together with their year groups as organised through their weekly music lessons.

View the full performance schedule here. Remember to check for your student’s performance times before signing up for your volunteer shift(s).

Unmissable Raffle!

Look for a raffle book and a flyer to be sent home with your oldest TIGS student in the first week of Term II. Purchase raffle tickets ($5 each or $50 for books of 10) by returning cash payment with completed raffle stubs to school by Thursday 16 May or order online via Trybooking by Wednesday 15 May.

The raffle will be drawn at the end of the Fete. You do not need to be present to win. Fabulous prizes up for grabs include a $4,000 Travel Voucher!

Help Promote the Fete

Collect flyers from either the Junior or Senior School Offices to display around your workplace, community centre or local café. Please also share our Facebook posts with your local Facebook groups.

How to get to The Great Fete

TIGS shuttle buses will run every 10 minutes from the Wollongong Train Station to make it easy for everyone to access the Fete! Meet at the turning circle on the Western Side (Northbound Side) and look for our TIGS buses.

There will be NO public parking available on the school grounds during The Great Fete. Parking spots will be utilised by stallholders and those with accessibility issues.

Pick-up zone: Drivers dropping off and picking up passengers can enter via Powell Street and deliver or pick up passengers beside the school oval.

Thank you!

We can’t wait to see you and your loved ones at The Great Fete on Saturday 18 May! Please get in touch with any queries and suggestions via fete@tigs.com.au. A huge thank you in advance for your generosity and support!
