The Senior School was blessed with a glorious blue-sky day for their Swimming Carnival held on Thursday 16 February. It was wonderful to have the whole school back at the pool, after last year’s COVID affected “competitors only” event
House spirit was on full display, with everybody doing their best to support their House by entering as many events as they could, or cheering enthusiastically from the side of the pool.
A highlight of the day was the inaugural “Best of The Best” relay, with Coligan taking out the girls race, and Wolgal winning the boys race.
There were 8 individual records set on the day, with Alexander MacKay breaking records in the 14B 50m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly and Jaimie De Lutiis smashing an amazing 6 records (many of which were previously held by Emma McKeon) in the 18G 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, 50m Breaststroke, 100m Freestyle and 100m Backstroke.
Congratulations to Wolgal who was the champion House on the day, winning the trophy for the first time since 2012!
