Let’s bring the magic of reading to life on Friday 20 August for Book Week.
Book Week is a highlight of every school year. And we know that dressing up at home might not be quite the same as dressing up with all your friends and teachers at school, but we’re not letting that get in the way of some literary fun. This year’s theme is “Old worlds, new worlds, other worlds”, but you can dress up as any character that inspires you.
So ditch your uniform and spend the day as your favourite character, let your imagination run wild!
Need some inspiration for your costume? Check out these amazing efforts from Book Week last year! We’ve got the crayons from The Day the Crayons Quit, Dorothy and Toto from the Wizard of Oz, Pippi Longstockings and a couple of Harry Potters.
We can’t wait to see who shows up in 2021.
If you’re feeling stuck for ideas, Spotlight has some fantastic Book Week costumes, both for the hands-on DIY’ers and those who aren’t quite so confident.
