About the Role
Following the retirement of Mrs Karen Wallace after thirty-seven years of outstanding service to the School, The Illawarra Grammar School is keen to appoint an experienced and well-qualified Director of Teaching and Learning to join its high-achieving Junior School. The successful applicant will be a member of the School’s Leadership Team, committed to rigorous and excellent classroom practice, and able to contribute to the Christian ministry of the School.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and enhancing learning programs
- Providing expert guidance on syllabus content
- Designing, moderating, and refining assessments
- Overseeing and managing the reporting process
- Facilitating staff professional development and learning
- Engaging with community around student learning and curriculum
- Promoting best practice in every classroom
- Contributing to the Christian mission of the School.
