A Celebration Of Creativity
Last week, a group of Year 11 Arts students travelled to Bundanon Trust on the Shoalhaven River. The camp was a wonderful celebration of creativity at its core, with students engaging in several workshops that explored the theme “Shift”. We were very lucky to have incredible guests for workshops, especially Aunty Julie, an elder from the Wreck Bay community who shared her knowledge and history of the local Aboriginal people and the staff from Bundanon Trust who designed workshops exclusively around our theme. Students were able to stretch their creative capabilities as they made a short film and original composition that encompassed the stunning scenery and theme. The students approached the work with sophistication and maturity, working collaboratively in their selected disciplines.
Now we are back at school, the students have brought their inspiration back and are producing bodies of work in their various disciplines. We look forward to presenting the works from Bundanon at our upcoming exhibition in early Term II.
