Celebrations to End the Year
These final few weeks have been busy as we celebrate the end of our year together and reflect on the journey we have travelled. We are fortunate to be able to acknowledge the year and I want to draw your attention to our microsite where the special events of the Junior School will be celebrated. As we conclude the year, we take into account the many considerations required to do this safely and to ensure that our usual important events can be captured and recognised in the special ways that they should.
The microsite will include the following events from the Junior School:
- 2021 Year 3 to Year 6 Award winners
- 2021 Sports Award winners
- A Christmas Celebration
- Junior School Captains speeches
Year 2 Progression and Presentation of Bibles
It was lovely to have the opportunity to present Year 2 students with their bibles this week. Year 2 students led the Chapel service on Thursday morning, with Reverend Rogers and myself addressing the students and congratulating them on reaching this important milestone. They are excited to be progressing to Year 3 and to enter their Primary Years. Photographs of the event will be shared on OLLE.
Year 6 Celebration and Farewell
This week it was wonderful to celebrate our Year 6 students. After an incredibly complex year, particularly for this group of students, we were excited to be able to acknowledge their contributions to our School and wish them well as they embark on their senior years. Year 6 students, congratulations on reaching this significant milestone. Thank you for your adaptability, patience, resilience and understanding. The care that you have shown to each other and to all of our Junior School students was a testament to the amazing group that you are. We are incredibly proud of you. Your appreciation and fun spirit ensured that the year was filled with memorable moments. We look forward to watching you grow into the incredible people that we have been privileged to nurture and influence during your Junior Years.
Thank you
As we move closer to concluding the year, I want to personally thank you. The experiences of this year have developed the deep partnership that we have in a way that only the events of this year would allow. Your commitment and support of the learning of your children ensured the continued growth and engagement of our children and for this, we are truly thankful. I’d also like to personally thank you for your understanding and support of the ever changing considerations as we navigated constant changes and worked towards adapting to a new way of living in current times.
Have a wonderful, safe and restful break everyone and may the joy that filled the world at the birth of Jesus Christ be with you during this Christmas season.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
