On Monday 2 May, 10 of our Senior School students competed in the Interschool Chess Challenge. Six schools competed for over seven rounds with each game lasting up to 30 minutes.
Our team of students from Year 9 to Year 11 did a great job. Everyone achieved successful games with a special mention to Saskia Belanszky who executed a four-move checkmate and Saksham Sirohi and Samarth Sirohi who both received medallions for finishing in 5th place. Our overall consistency meant that TIGS finished 2nd on the day. Well done to all the other students including, Thomas Kirby, William Willis, Harley Adams, Soorya Sundhar, Evie-Rose Atkins, Harrison Deck and Oscar Kiely.
