Last weekend the International Future Problem Solving Competition was held in Boston, USA. TIGS was represented in the Middle Individual Division by Robbie Lavalle (image below) and in the Middle Team Division by Lucas Alexander, Isabella Carswell, Yasmin Matar and Aahan Rakheja (feature image). Robbie’s project Plastic Steps, which aims to reduce plastic waste took out an impressive 2nd place out of 22 competitors and the Small Business Heroes team, promoting local businesses struggling during Covid, came 8th in their division. Both Robbie and the team came highest of any teams competing virtually in the live hybrid event. Congratulations to both projects who have now seen TIGS finish in the top three internationally for 14 years in a row.
