Junior School Learning Framework

It was a pleasure to be part of the team that presented the new Learning Framework to our Junior School families this week. This Framework is a critical part of the Junior School’s contribution to the School’s renewed focus on academic excellence, and I am very grateful to Ms Clayton, Mrs Wallace and the other Junior School staff for their dedicated and professional endeavours to improve the learning outcomes of our children. I commend Ms Clayton’s article to you this week which further explains the new framework.

SCHOOL PRODUCTION

We are in Production Week, with Strictly Ballroom performances continuing tonight and tomorrow. The show is vibrant and fun, and the performances from our students are exceptional. More than 150 staff and students are involved and have been rehearsing since last November. NEW Website

As we approach the end of Term II, I am happy to inform you that the School’s new website will launch early next term.

Since commencing at Illawarra Grammar at the start of this year, our Marketing team has been working on the new website. I’m sure you will enjoy seeing it. The new website will include an updated newsletter layout, which we are confident will make the fortnightly newsletters easier to read.

Holiday CONSTRUCTION Work

Over the holidays, there will be considerable construction work done on the Main Reception building (C Block) in the Senior School. If need be, rather than coming to the School, please contact the School by phone as physical access will be restricted.

TERM III

Families are reminded that Monday 22 July is a Staff Day, meaning that Term III will commence on Tuesday 23 July.
