Senior School to offer world-class Cambridge Science course

Dec 09 2024

The Illawarra Grammar School has been approved by Cambridge International Education (Cambridge) to offer its world-leading international education programs and qualifications.

The Cambridge IGCSE educational program shapes learners’ knowledge, understanding and skills through an academically rigorous curriculum, fostering critical thinking, creativity and resilience. This program not only equips students with the intellectual tools needed to excel academically, but also develops qualities essential for thriving in diverse real-world contexts, both within and beyond the classroom. The Cambridge IGCSE qualification opens doors to top-ranked universities in every part of the world.

At Illawarra Grammar, we will be offering the Cambridge IGCSE Co-ordinated Science course to select students in Year 9 (2025) and Year 10 (from 2026).

Principal, Dr Julie Greenhalgh, said: “This milestone reflects our commitment to providing a rigorous education. Cambridge IGCSE programs are recognised internationally for their quality and academic challenge. We are pleased to offer this opportunity to our students as they prepare for futures in an interconnected world.”
