Interest from the community in our School is strong and last week we had over 90 Year 6 students join us for our Try TIGS day.

This is a day where we give Year 6 students an opportunity to experience what it will be like in Year 7. During the day, the students participated in lessons in Maths, English, Science and HSIE. As well as this, they were able to select from a range of masterclasses, including Coding, Music Composition, Visual Arts, Soccer, Outdoor Education Challenges, and Design. Students chose according to their interests and passions.

During the morning session, around 30 families participated in a tour of the Senior School campus. Parents were genuinely impressed to see our students and staff at work in the classroom and to be able to experience first-hand our beautiful campus. At the end of the day, I overheard one of the Year 6 students say to his friend that he had fallen in love with our school over the course of the day.

What a wonderful outcome this was. The interest in our school continues such that we need to plan an additional Try TIGS day for Year 6 students on Tuesday 3 May. I look forward to showcasing our wonderful school again on this day.
